Kate Quackenbush

I learned making from my parents, and grandparents: cooking, gardening, knitting, repairing, woodworking. So I define as a maker, whether it is ephemeral like sourdough bread, or a durable hand made quilt, I use my hands and mind to create. I believe the world would be a better place if we consumed less and made more; I know both we and the planet would be better for the work of our hands.
